This policy applies to the Elly Rise website, the Elly Rise iOS app, our contact and waitlist forms, and related support communications.

2. Our Privacy Approach

Elly Rise is built with a local-first mindset. Primary journal entries and day-to-day symptom logs are intended to stay on your device unless you explicitly use a feature that requires secure transmission to a service provider.

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not run third-party advertising networks inside the app.
• We do not require account creation to use the core tracking experience.
• We try to limit data collection to what is reasonably necessary to operate the product, process subscriptions, improve reliability, and provide optional features you choose to use.

3. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with Elly Rise.

• Information you enter in the app: symptom logs, stiffness duration, pain severity, flare details, triggers, notes, medications you choose to record, and related journal content.
• Location and weather context: if you allow location access, the app may use your location at the time of a log to retrieve weather details such as temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure.
• Subscription and purchase information: subscription status, entitlement state, and related transaction metadata may be processed through Apple and our subscription infrastructure provider, RevenueCat.
• Website form submissions: if you join the waitlist or contact us, we collect the information you submit, such as your name, email address, and message.
• Technical and analytics information: the website uses Google Analytics to collect aggregated usage information, such as pages viewed, approximate device/browser information, and basic interaction events.
• Support communications: if you email us or use the contact form, we collect the contents of those communications and any information you choose to share with us.

4. How We Use Information

• To provide the app's journaling, reporting, weather context, and subscription features.
• To process support requests, waitlist signups, and other communications you initiate.

Some Elly Rise features use OpenAI as a third-party AI provider to generate optional summaries, pattern descriptions, note understanding, or similar insight features. These features are opt-in. We ask for your consent before using them.

• When you enable AI features, selected data from your logs may be securely transmitted to OpenAI to generate the requested output.
• This may include symptom details, note text, triggers, recent journal context, medications you choose to record, and weather context relevant to the feature.
• AI-generated outputs can be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be treated as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment guidance.
• You can disable AI features in the app settings at any time.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Elly Rise offers optional premium subscriptions. Purchases are billed by Apple through your Apple ID account.

• Apple processes payment information. We do not receive your full payment card details.
• We use RevenueCat to help manage subscription status, entitlements, restore purchases, and related subscription events.
• RevenueCat may process identifiers and subscription metadata needed to confirm whether premium access is active.

7. Website Forms and Email Processing

If you use the Elly Rise contact form or waitlist form, the information you submit is sent to us through SendGrid so we can receive and respond to it.

• Contact forms may include your name, email address, and message.
• Waitlist forms may include your email address.
• We use this information to respond to you, follow up on your request, or manage interest in the product.

8. Analytics and Cookies

The Elly Rise website uses Google Analytics. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to help us understand website traffic and basic usage patterns.

• We use analytics to understand broad website activity, not to build invasive advertising profiles.
• You can control cookies through your browser settings.

• Core journal data is primarily stored on your device and remains there until you delete it or remove the app.
• Support and waitlist submissions may be retained as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, or improve operations.
• Subscription-related records may be retained as needed for billing, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal compliance.
• Analytics data may be retained in aggregated or provider-managed form according to the settings and retention controls available in the analytics platform.

11. Your Choices

• You can choose whether to grant location access.
• You can choose whether to enable AI-powered features.
• You can manage or cancel premium subscriptions through Apple.
• You can delete app entries from within the app and can remove locally stored app data by deleting the app from your device.
• You can opt not to submit website forms and can contact us to request deletion of support or waitlist information we hold about you, subject to legal or operational requirements.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information we handle. No method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Children's Privacy

Elly Rise is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website or app. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and address the situation.

14. International Processing
